How to choose bridesmaids? Basically, do what you want, just explain it nicely

How many bridesmaids should you have? What should bridesmaids wear? These are big questions for a bride-to-be.

The tradition in UK at the moment is that bridesmaids should wear the same dress. They match the theme of the wedding, it gives it consistency and it all goes together easily.

The idea of matching dresses is lovely but it is not a must. There are many other ways. For example, you could agree on a colour and each one choose her dress.

..none at all. The concept is very English/American. In France, Spain, Morocco, Italy, India, they don’t have them. Often we just have flower girls, with matching outfits.. or not.

Are you  on Pinterest? check my bridesmaids board (mismatched bridesmaids are very trendy at the moment as it allows everyone to have a colour and shape that suits them) The other argument for each bridesmaid having her personal dress is that she would probably pay for it as tit’s something she chooses and would wear again.
