Bradgate Park Leicester Family Photoshoot
Family photoshoots not only capture how gorgeous, and lively the kids are, it focuses on their personalities and the relationships between everyone. The children’s spirits are beautiful to watch and remember. Not their posey smiles, or their awkwardness- though that’s moving too- but how they run, fly, laugh, sulk, what worlds they invent, what adventures they dream up. And the way they trust the ones they love.
How they grab their favourite auntie by the hand without even looking. It’s a given that she’s there, happy to play and follow and keep them safe.
(I have a bag of toys but you’re welcome to bring favourite ones too, or dress up, or suggest anything you’d like in the photos, it’s all about you!)
How they have no fear that eating mummy’s nose is quite normal and will have no consequence, just a laugh really.
Taking time out with dad to find his centre, calm down, tame the emotions that flared up.
Yes you can go in the water, splash, jump, or climb trees and rocks, kick a ball or fly a kite or lie down and read…
Playing with the grandparents, bending the rules, making up new ones, whatever is most enjoyable, whatever feels right.
Spending time just witnessing their wilderness, cuteness, uniqueness, their talents, attempts, escapes.
Yes we do group photos too, to have everyone on one photo, but not stiff, still talking, connecting, interacting, to capture real expressions, not cardboard cutout ones, nothing fake, because when we want to remember these moments we want to know how it felt, and that they felt good, warm, real.
Photos are not about being photogenic, it’s about remembering how lucky we are to be alive and have people we love and who love us. And if we don’t find ourselves beautiful in the photos? It’s knowing we’re loved as we are.
If you want photos to capture the relationships your family weaves, the love and laughter you share, in Bradgate park, Leicester, or Loughborough, Nottingham, Derby and surrounding areas, please give me a call on 07763064497. Thank you. Alix
