Baby Photoshoot Leicester with Sibling
One week old and he’s changed already. Quick capture this before he’s a baby, plump, with teeth even. gone will be this gummy smile. Not quite a smile yet, just wind they say but it’s still a smile to us,it still moves us.
But when Erin charges in, with her fierce love and booming energy, we go for an autumn walk by the side of the house marvelling at everything, sharing orange berries and dainty daisies, carrying strong stick, tasting them even.
Meanwhile he sleeps, hairy and sweet, warm as a cuddle. His rabbit nearly as big as him. All bits of him adorable, his mouth, eyelashes, hands, feet, the folds on his skin, all kissable and sooo soft.
Breastfeeding time is story time: how to divert jealousy, encourage sibling love, looking out for mishandling.
That softness! I can’t get over it. And that newborn smell. Nothing like it. So fragile, so dependent it scares us. and what will his future be. such a miracle.
The millions faces per minute a newborn pulls. all precious. Not all smiley. but real. Expressive. The way he tastes the air, the way he stretches, pulls his face with his hand, pokes his eye, or stares and we wonder what worlds go on in his head.
So tiny, these fingers! so breakable. So loud still and strong, incredible for such a tiny man.
And we’re so grateful for that miracle in our lives, the way our hearts spill over and melt in front of the smallest amongst us. Precious. More than precious. Our love.
