Vibrant & Authentic Asian Wedding Photography for Hindu, Sikh and Muslim Weddings
Documenting Asian and fusion weddings in the UK and across Europe
I don’t pose you but will give you prompts so you feel comfortable and supported. I focus on genuine moments, and I’m not your usual Asian wedding photographer. And that makes all the difference.

Why choose Lumière Photography?
Asian weddings are colourful, joyful, and tearful, with many ceremonies, which is a photographer’s dream. From the pre-wedding ceremonies to the registry and the religious wedding, I can be with you and capture the essence of the day as I understand the significance of the prayers and rituals. I also love photographing multicultural weddings that blend elements of various cultures, whether because the families have different origins or beliefs. I love capturing this uniquely rich tapestry of two families becoming one.
As a wedding photographer who had an Asian-Western fusion wedding myself, I bring a unique blend of cultural understanding and a fresh perspective to capture your day.
With my Gujarati husband and his Hindu family, we mixed and matched elements of many faiths and cultures, resulting in three events across France and England. I am therefore both within the Asian culture and also outside enough to bring a different, less traditional approach.
My preferred style is documentary with an artistic eye, meaning not as much posing as with traditional Asian wedding photographers, but more going with the flow and capturing the real connections, reactions and the details. If you want the best of both styles, I can bring a second photographer to do the group shots.

Your Ultimate Asian Wedding Photography Experience: Capturing the Vibrant Traditions and Heartfelt Connections
For Hindu ceremonies, I enjoy photographing the vidhi (or haldi), the mehndi-I love mehndi!, the temple wedding with the pooja, and all aspects of the days, keeping some time for couple shoots.
For Muslim weddings, I also shoot the mehndi, the nikah and walima, as well as the registry. I can shoot at the mosque, both with the women and the men for the signing of the contract, and will create different galleries to preserve the women’s modesty.
I have also photographed Bahai weddings and would love the opportunity to shoot Sikh weddings.
While I usually work with natural lights, many halls do not have enough, so I bring additional flashes. If you wish for a large number of group shots, I can also hire a second shooter to cover these while I concentrate on the candids.
For couple photos, I am respectful of what you feel comfortable with in terms of physical proximity and show of affection, and I can deliver the couple photos separately for your eyes only.
