Sutton Bonington Hall Wedding in September
Having had a multicultural wedding myself, I really love the mix of cultures, outfits, traditions, styles, foods, musics. It’s rich like a unique, wonderful tapestry.
Aliyah and Tom chose Sutton Bonington Hall for their September wedding and I fell in love with the venue. It has style, a historical feel to it- which I love- many areas for photos, rooms for small groups, for people who need a bit of quiet, room for dancing, for playing outdoors. The gardens are really beautiful with tall trees and many nooks and crannies.
The getting ready room is beautiful in itself and also allows for a shot of the whole party, from the balcony. I loved every minute of it. The conservatory was beautiful during the day- very luminous but no glare or blinding sun, and in the evening with candlelight.
This what Aliyah wrote:
We absolutely loved our day. The standout moments were: speeches, dances and evening entertainment. The speeches and dances were so special as so many people had put work into them to make the day special. The evening musicians were a roaring success as people loved their mix of modern day pop music and Bollywood hits. We loved the outdoor games too as people were entertained for the whole day and, plus, Tom and I are also super competitive.
The actual registry part went super quickly. I’m so glad we were able to make use of the outdoor space as that was why we loved the venue so much. When we walked in to view it the first time, I could actually picture the wedding there, which is something I couldn’t say about the other venues. The light in the conservatory and outdoor gardens and greenery is what made the venue feel so special. The owners were also absolutely lovely!
In terms of vendors, they had:
- GlambyCharlotte (Makeup Artist)
- FBHair (Hairdresser)
- Flowers by Philippa (Florist)
- Helen Alborn Cakes
- Portfolio Events (Wedding Planner and Catering)
- And obviously Lumiere Photography
These vendors went above and beyond to make the day special. I am also hugely grateful to the remaining vendors but my favourite were definitely the ones listed above. (thank you!)
And also the dress: Wed2B Shirley
the shoes: Deichmann (very comfortable)
the accessories – Ivory & Co (tiara, bracelet, earrings and necklace)
the suit – Ted Baker
the bridesmaids’ dresses – ASOS
