Coombe Abbey Wedding Venue in Warwickshire
I was asked to do a few couple shots at a Coombe Abbey wedding. I love discovering new places and this one is amazing! Both the inside and the outside are amazing and full of atmosphere. The first buildings date from 16th century although there was a monastery there since `2th century. Some of the house was added a few years later but there are turrets, a moat, lead windows and beautiful decorations indoors that give a fantastic ambiance. They host medieval banquets that I’d love to see. I didn’t capture all the details- there is a tomb with the statue of the resting man in armour, a corridor with sone statues etc.
They cater for all sorts of weddings, from small intimate ones like the one I went to capture, to large Asian weddings for up to 500 guests in the marquee. They also have a range of rooms catering for various other numbers so do enquire. It is an amazing place and thankfully your guests can not only park easily but stay over in magnificent bedrooms. They pride themselves in their fine dining but also open the marquee to outside caterers so you have a choice. These will give you an idea of some of its’ beauty, and although the gardens are beautifully manicured, there are also areas of tall grass and more natural feel.
Do get in touch if you’re planning a Coombe Abbey wedding or event. I’d love to help capture beautiful memories for you in such a gorgeous place. Alix 07763064497
