Outdoor Spring Maternity Shoot in Loughborough

This couple thoughtfully planned their outfits to complement the bluebells, creating a stunning setting for their outdoor spring maternity photoshoot. I was especially fond of doing a maternity shoot in a bluebell wood, as it brought back memories of my own pregnancy. My sister had come from France to be with me, and I wanted to show her the bluebells, since we don’t have them in Provence. We got lost, and I started having contractions! While my son wasn’t born that day, bluebells have since become a cherished signal of his approaching birthday.

The woods are so quiet and beautiful, making them a magical backdrop for maternity couple photography. This couple, both dancers, brought a graceful elegance to their poses. I especially love the photo where they reach out to each other—a subtle yet powerful reflection of their love and anticipation of welcoming their baby.

During the session, we made sure to stay on the existing paths, respecting the delicate environment while capturing stunning couple maternity photos. This season of life is truly magical, and the beauty of spring perfectly mirrored their joy and excitement.

It was an honour not only to photograph their pregnancy, but also to capture the precious moments with their newborn when he arrived.
