Garthmyl Hall wedding venue in Wales / Shropshire border
Garthmyl Hall is a fantastic venue. I must say I’m in love with it.
It has magnificent views, a gorgeous building, that feels homely, not stuffy, fantastic gardens, quirky but beautiful details everywhere. What’s not to love.
I love outdoor weddings and it’s gazebo is licensed so, weather depending, you can have any kind of ceremony there.
It is accessible, has 10 rooms to host 21 people, can have 160 people sitting in the marquee, and 60 in the ballroom. It is exclusive, which is a big plus as non- exclusive venues can host more than one wedding on the same day.
Not only that, but you get the hall for 2 days and 2 nights so you can decorate it- not that it needs much as it’s already really beautiful- you can have a pre- and post wedding do so people get to know each other before and relax afterwards. It’s great for people who have travelled a long way and want to make the most of their trip to see you and the family for a bit longer than the wedding day.
What in my view makes it extra special is that the owner bought it for weddings because she fell in love with it and loves events management- in which she has a lot of experience. Julia is a pleasure to work with, she has endless energy, is kind, relaxed, efficient, just perfect. It makes a huge difference, believe-me!

Here are some of the photos of the place and views, I’ll blog the wedding at a later date.
You can guess that I’d love to shoot more weddings there, but then who wouldn’t? Please get in touch so we can imagine you on your wedding holiday. x
