Pregnancy photoshoot near Harrogate Yorkshire
After their wedding (if you want to see it, it’s here), Lucy got ill but throughout this difficult time she knew she would get better and that they would be a family one day, so when I got a message with a scan picture I was overjoyed! I kept everything crossed that all would be well and it was. It was a great pleasure to drive up to see them, we had a lot of catching up to do but it also felt like we’d seen each other last week. So we had lunch- thank you Dom!- and chatted until we realised how much time had gone and that we should really go out to catch the light.
Yorkshire is so beautiful. I’d done a winter pregnancy shoot in Yorkshire before and knew it was both stunning and cold! and so it was! there was some snow patches on the ground but the colours were soft, pink from the heather and the little sunset clouds, it was really perfect.
Lucy had a really beautiful dress and Dom had a jumper that really complemented it so they looked in total harmony with each other and with nature.
You can see the sun go down as we shoot, as well as how much they love and laugh together.
Lucy’s bump kept her warm but we still needed a hot chocolate to warm ourselves so we went home and took a few of her bump and her and Dom- most of the photos will be their only but just to give you an idea of wha’ts possible in terms of maternity photos done at home in a bedroom. Isn’t she beautiful!
I’m writing this after coming back from their first family photoshoot, so if you want to see the baby, she’s here!
