Wedding at Haileybury College – Hertfordshire
When I met Mel and Nathan for their pre-wedding shoot, they told me they’d booked an amazing venue but I wasn’t quite prepared for how grand Haileybury College is. It is a wonder of classical architecture with many columns- great for framing and lines in photos, as you’ll see!
Inside was a big space too with a balcony which meant I could take shots from above. I could also shoot from a window and capture the whole wedding party that way. It’s the best way for big groups as it ensures that you can see everyone and that they’re not too small. The hall didn’t need much decorations as it was so splendid and everything was very elegant.
It is such a vast space that we could choose different areas for different group shots, and couple shots, which makes looking at different groups much more fun.
Both the bride and the groom looked like they came out of a fairy tale and they had grins to match the occasion.
Here are some of my favourite photos of the day. To see the whole wedding please scroll to the bottom.
The last picture has a story. I was sitting in my car, suddenly feeling the adrenaline leave me when, literally I saw the light. I saw this column and imagined that image. I went back to beg Mel for one last photo. She was too happy to refuse me and I love the result. what do you think?
