Winter wedding at Rothley Court

Rothley Court is a beautiful wedding venue between Loughborough and Leicester. I’ve shot weddings there before .But never in winter so I was delighted with the decorations. The couple had themed their own decorations around the winter theme too, with a wreath specially for photos.

Nikki and Andy wanted a simple wedding and I was with them only for a few hours, enough to capture the most important moments. Their little girl was not impressed with being left at grandma’s for the night and was sulking except when looking at the Christmas tree.The chapel is beautiful but was very cold, something to think about if you are going to a winter wedding at Rothley Court.

I was there to do getting Ready shots, Nikki isn’t a fan of make up so she did it herself to still feel like herself, just as I’d done for my wedding. we did some photos in the famous staircase, candids of the wedding guests, the ceremony in the chapel, drinks afterwards. We did the confetti in the alley beyond the fountain, and more candid shots. Then I stayed for the cutting of the cake and some photos with the special wreath.
