Relaxed Newborn and Sibling Photoshoot with Parents

It was extra special to do this newborn and sibling photoshoot because I had photographed this family two years ago when their daughter was a newborn. Watching families grow, seeing children become themselves, and witnessing the different phases of their lives is such a privilege—and one of the reasons I love family photography.
The little girl was a joyful, free spirit. I captured her shyness, moments of quiet relaxation, love for her baby brother, and independent play. Whether she was cuddling her brother or choosing her own little adventures, every expression and interaction was so natural and full of life. Meanwhile, her newborn brother had a face full of fleeting expressions, including those precious semi-smiles that only newborns give.
Mum and dad—both sportive and radiant, even amidst the usual lack of sleep—brought such warmth to the session. Seeing their growing family, with all its relationships and shades of love, was heartwarming. Love truly is extraordinary: we love each person as if they were the only person we love, each one unique—like flowers, each admired for its individual beauty and essence.
Outdoor Family Photography with a Newborn & a Toddler
Indoors was great but outdoors called the little girl, so we went for a little walk and played in the long grass. I had bubbles, which are always a winner. I even captured a sweet photo of her baby—Annabel, her doll—just as I photographed her newborn brother. On the way back, she played peek-a-boo with me in her mum’s arms. I love how children just open up and warm up to me playing with them. I never force moments; instead, I let them be themselves, offering little things to spark their interest and build a bond. Eventually, we’re just playing together, and shyness fades into joy.
